Sodexo Energy and Resources is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for its Harahan, Louisiana location.  Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, this supervisor will have oversight of 14 hourly (tenured) Sodexo employees. 


Primary Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Daily responsibility for the warehousing operations, including inventory as well as manage warehouse staff to ensure that products are stored and shipped out in an accurate, efficient manner.
  • Monitoring and streamlining procedures for warehousing and distribution, to meet the quality, safety, and customer service standards.
  • Directing the movement, storage and processing of inventory to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Supervise and direct warehouse staff; put worker safety as a top priority, according to Sodexo Energy and Resources standards.
  • Fully utilizing SAP or another similar ERP system for inventory control, material movement and reporting.
  • Planning, scheduling, staffing and training and motivation as needed to ensure stellar customer service is provided.

Successful candidates will demonstrate experience, success and proficiency in the following areas:


  • Written and verbal communication.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving.
  • Multi-tasking, project management and prioritizing.
  • Taking initiative and working independently in order to achieve agreed upon business outcomes.
  • Computer literacy including usage of SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Previous warehouse experience is required.


This manager will work in a hands-on fashion with team members and will need to work a flexible start time, including some weekends and evenings.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is primarily responsible for the warehousing operations, including receiving, stocking, and production. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security and safety policies and procedures. Oversees planning, scheduling, and staffing as needed. Monitor and streamline procedures for warehousing, distribution, and financial forecasting to meet production and distribution needs. Direct activities to limit cost and improve accuracy, safety, and customer service. Direct the movement, storage and processing of inventory to achieve maximum efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares documents to put out tenders for contractors
  • Supervises and motivates Sodexo team/staff by providing training and counselling to promote 100% work efficiency daily.
  • Analyze expenditures and other financial information to develop plans, policies and budgets for increasing profits and improving services, as well as monitoring the spending as to not exceed approved budgets
  • Set warehouse operations policies and standards, including determination of safety procedures for the handling of goods
  • Plan, organize and supervise the work performance of staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with Sodexo company policy and requirements
  • Manages and keeps constant communication with leasing/rental company regarding vehicles and equipment
  • Maintains roster of available personnel, hours worked and training certifications
  • Ensures the building meets health and safety requirements
  • Enforce company ethic codes.
  • Verify staff work projects have been completed proper and following up on any deficiencies
  • Controls space management and setup layouts and manage stock control: the self-assured receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of goods; shipment loading & transferring; document recording and data entry into system
  • Plans all warehouse resources and activities in relation to company objective and set targets.
  • Controls and follows up daily absence and over time of Sodexo Employees

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year in engineering or a related field
