GMP warehouse operations are a critical enabling function at the Pfizer McPherson site. The Warehouse Supervisor has responsibility for the 24 x 7 warehouse operation. Two warehouse supervisors will work closely together and share responsibilities at the site. Each supervisor will oversee 15-20 direct reports who receive, place, pick, position, and ship materials for the site.


+ Ensure colleagues perform work in compliance with safe work practices and help drive safety improvements in the warehouse operation.

+ Create, model and lead a culture of regulatory (GMP, DEA, Safety, Environmental, etc...) compliance

+ Create a state of audit readiness and participate in and/or lead self-audits

+ Ensure the warehouse teams deliver logistics services and support to the site to make sure materials are received, moved and shipped on-time and in a compliant manner

+ Execute HR processes (staffing, recognition, development planning, talent assessment, performance management, succession planning, discipline)

+ Ensure colleagues are adequately trained and capable to perform work

+ Identify and implement corrective actions resulting from inspections and incident reviews

+ Schedule and perform follow-up to ensure maintenance is performed on warehouse facilities and equipment

+ Ensure service providers to the warehouse (cleaning, pest control, maintenance, third-party storage facilities) are meeting expectations and requirements

+ Assist Sr. Manager in developing expense budgets and capital plans

+ Practice good financial decision making by managing to the budget and assisting the Sr Manager in predicting and explaining budget variances

+ Drive continuous improvement in all facets of the operations (safety, quality, cost/efficiency, service)

+ Assist in the development and implementation of a warehouse master plan


+ Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience, experience in a similarly regulated industry, or warehousing/logistics experience

+ A minimum of 3 years leadership experience (i.e. having direct reports)

+ Microsoft Office knowledge especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint

+ Experience participating in audits and interacting with regulatory agencies desired

+ SAP experience desired. JD Edwards experience is also desireable.

+ Language Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills
