Description:

  • The ideal candidate has the ability to operate and maintain this plant to treat process water to meet ADEQ and City of Casa Grande wastewater discharge permits limits and Frito Lay internal water quality assurance programs.
  • Candidate shall also have the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose operational problems and take corrective action per routine procedure and process knowledge.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring flow meters, water quality data, MBR and LPRO membranes pressure and related controls through instrument panels and programmable logic control units in assigned areas.
  • Other daily duties include the review of daily operational and lab data, monitors and records operating conditions, observations and data entry in a daily log book to ensure conformance to internal process specifications.
  • The candidate should be familiar with MBR and RO membranes cleaning protocols, procedures and CIP cycles.
  • He/She should closely review daily MBR/LPRO operational data and monitor the operation of membranes and follow FLNA internal cleaning protocol to prevent membrane fouling.

The Manager of Operations is primarily responsible for the delivery of all operations activities required by Frito Lay and plant demands.

Duties include: planning, organizing and directing activities with respect to the facility's needs, including water/wastewater treatment facility, starch collection system and associated pump stations and general utilities.

  • Responsible for all activities and the overall operation/efficiency of a water and wastewater industrial utility plant that feeds the Casa Grande Frito-Lay manufacturing facility.
  • Analyzes and evaluates operation, maintenance, paperwork, and support functions.
  • Initiates new or improved practices as necessary with hands on approach.
  • Interprets daily/weekly laboratory results and makes appropriate process adjustments.
  • Inspects plant and mechanical equipment to ensure effective operations and identify and address malfunctions, irregularities, and needed repairs.
  • Lubricates, change oil, and makes running repairs and adjustments to machinery and equipment.
  • Complies with all Federal, State and City laws, regulations, and policies relating to occupational safety and health, and environmental issues.
  • Operate and perform minor maintenance on equipment (e.g. pumps, valves, chemical feed pumps).
  • Monitors SCADA and makes adjustments as necessary to remain in optimum operational conditions and compliance.
  • Email daily operational /lab data and maintenance report to Frito-Lay plant and FLNA HQs EHS Team.
  • Perform in-plant maintenance according to the schedules and procedures established by equipment manufacturers and Frito-Lay guidelines documents and SOPs. This include cleaning, servicing, lubricating and repairing pumps, chemical feed equipment, and other mechanical devices used at this plant.
  • Order the required chemicals and spare parts as required.
  • Prepare required reports for submittal to the local and State Regulatory agencies.
  • Follow Frito-Lay's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, and report unsafe conditions and operational issues to Frito-Lay facility manager.
  • Works to deliver cost savings to the business and functional plan.


Qualifications:

  • At lease ten (10) years of water/wastewater treatment management experience
  • Additional qualifying experience should include operations of MBR and RO equipment
  • Bachelors degree preferred
