Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The Web Communications Specialist will assist the Senior Manager of Web Communications in driving associate engagement through online communications vehicles, including the MyApron portal, my Toolbox portal, corporate Web site, as well as internal social media sites such as the Warehouse online collaboration tool, Inbox, etc. The incumbent will be responsible for managing content integration, collateral materials, and Web publications. Responsibilities include creating and editing marketing materials, reports, and other electronic materials. The Specialist partners with project owners to execute projects from start to finish and is responsible for building cross-functional relationships with Associate Communications peers and internal clients.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Portal administration, governance, development, and design 
  • Online collaboration tool design and administration 
  • Web communications, content management and projects 
  • Monitors sustained metrics to assess ongoing effectiveness of vehicles
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to Senior Manager Web Communications
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Degree in a related field 
  • Experience in retail industry preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Proven record of skills including multi-tasking, work prioritization, organizational skills, and meeting deadlines 
  • Experience with Web technologies and driving successful communications through new technology 
  • Has demonstrated ability to work independently and complete projects and major initiatives 
  • Strong written, oral, and presentational communication skills including advanced knowledge of grammar and punctuation 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to build support and inclusion.

  • Analytical skills 
  • Ability to successfully interface at all levels of the organization and deliver impeccable customer service to internal customers
