*Role Description*

The HR on Demand Release Manager will support the HR on Demand Release Lead in driving the release planning process while managing release schedules and milestones for all Workday and Pfizer releases. This colleague will need to work with multiple cross-functional teams to support releases of varying size, complexity, and duration while ensuring the releases are high- quality and on-time. This position is a global role and is responsible for driving clarity in competing priorities to facilitate effective decision-making, to proactively identify cross-initiative issues, risks and interdependencies and engage appropriate stakeholders, both global and regional, to resolve. The Release Manager will drive the release lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases in conjunction and coordination with all other work in the portfolio. This role will function as a coordination point between all business process owners, HRBT, the regions, HR Operations and Workday. The Release Manager will be required to have a deep understanding of the functionality that will become available through Workday future releases, the timing of those releases and the resulting impacts to all the internal stakeholders.


*Manage the major Workday releases and Pfizer releases as well as all of the weekly updates*Fully understand the potential impacts and interdependencies caused by releases and coordinate related work with all key stakeholders*Organize, document and follow up on outcomes of HR on Demand Steering Committee meetings; provide the steering committee with information on new functionality in future releases*Support the Work Planning process to plan, organize and manage all HR on Demand related work *Partner and coordinate with Workday, business, integration team, internal and external systems and QA team*Partner closely with testing team to develop plan and testing strategy for all release and enhancement work*Partner closely with the Change management team to develop plan and change management strategy and plan for all release and enhancement work *Coordinate all activity related to ongoing small to medium enhancements (testing, migration) and ensure that it is integrated into future release work*Identify additional functionality from the release that could/should be considered and work with the COE's and application leads on adopting


*Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline.*5-7 years project management experience , demonstrated experience managing cross-border, cross-functional projects*3 years release management experience in Workday or other cloud-based multi-tenant systems required*Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization - from executives to analysts.*Experience with SOX and compliance audits*MBA or graduate degree in a business discipline preferred *PMP certification a plus*Solid understanding of HR business processes, data, systems and their interdependencies*Strong analytical and problem solving skills with proven experience in solving problems and identifying recommended solutions*Strong project management skills; demonstrated ability to manage HR technology projects.*Excellent written/verbal communication skills*Ability to establish working relationships with team members at all levels in the organization*Ability to effectively manage confidentiality of information*Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and technology*Ability to work in a challenging business environment demonstrating flexibility by managing numerous priorities*Results oriented, highly motivated, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner*Ability to work independently with little or without supervision and work well in a team environment*Ability to collaborate and build relationships cross-functionally
