Job Description

This includes the recent establishment of North America Nutrition, a division that is charged with creating nutrition synergies within our Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade and Naked Juice portfolios to drive continued growth.

The Zone Sales Leader (Chilled DSD) is responsible for leading direct reports (DSLs), route development for the assigned zone, and setting account execution strategy to achieve sales and profitability targets. The most critical responsibilities of the ZSL include:

Establish sales strategy and tactics for the zone and effectively communicate to the sales team.
Hire, build, motivate and develop a strong sales leadership team and route sales team.
Monitor progress against key performance indicators, ensure that progress is effectively communicated and implement strategies and tactics to address performance gaps.
Customer interaction including but not limited to key account calls with District Sales Leaders and/or PBC Account managers, market audits with DSLs and/or RSRs and resolution of customer issues in person or by phone.
Ensure zone profitability through the efficient and timely administration of zone P&L and trade budget targets.


Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Sales and People Management experience Demonstrated Leadership of large multi-level teams (frontline)
  • A history of upward mobility at fast-paced companies
  • Consumer Packaged Goods/Food & Beverage Industry experience or knowledge strongly preferred

Skills and Capabilities:
  • Compelling, powerful communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence
  • Business & Financial Acumen (leverage analytics and insights to create strategy)
  • Both a strategic outlook and focus on executional excellence
  • Transferable skill set to sell/understand customers
  • Motivator/coach who is able to leverage performance management and development
